Not wanting to miss anything, because I’ve never been the responsible one on holidays I’ve never had to worry about mundane things before, I went online to find a checklist. Too make sure I didn’t forget anything -important-.
I went through a few, and chucked the odd thing into the suitcase here and there that I hadn’t thought of. And then I got to the last one… It says, and this is no joke:
Tampons/pads (they can be hard to find outside the U.S.)
What do they think we use?!
There’s a meme currently on DA, thought I’d give it a burl

I think I’m about at the point now where I no longer want to lend anything out to anyone. I received a lovely piece of news last night regarding the camera we lent out to a friend.
Seems he let the camera get wet, and now its dead.
Just in time for our wedding, and subsequently, our honeymoon!
To say I’m devastated is an understatement.
Nestle, What Will They Think of Next

So today whilst trawling the internet, I stumbled upon a piece of information completely by accident. I was dubious at first, for its not something you expect to see. You don’t think a major chocolate company will one day think to themselves “We have this brand of chocolate. It does really well here, but we want to market it in other countries”. Well, actually you might find that they DO think like that, but you don’t expect to hear the idea they come up with!
“Its Japan, so…. Green Tea Kit Kats!”
Some reports say this is really quite nice, others bemoan the sickly sweetness of it. I’m not too sure how keen I’m likely to be, as it is after all meant to be a bitter drink. If its as sweet as they say, it probably won’t be to my own palate. But the idea is interesting nonetheless and I am at the very least curious to know how it tastes

Got friends over for Munchkin tonight, they were all outside having a smoke and I was talking to a friend online when they called me out.
Floating on a rather haphazard route through the sky was a bright orange light. Very bright. Freaked the hell out of me. Eventually it went higher, above the clouds and out of sight.
NFI.
I go through phases. Sometimes I just don’t want to write. Don’t want to blog, can’t seem to find the desire nor the inspiration. And other times I seem to write stupid amounts. A couple of times a day, at times. If the mood strikes. I think I’m in the more prolific cycle at the moment. But that’s okay, because when it comes down to it I’m writing for myself and not for anyone else. That’s not my intention here. If it was, I’d be writing a special interest blog (possible, one day, but not right now) and it would all be on the one topic. Not the contents of my head, lol.
However, I’m not here right now to ramble on about why I do things. I was thinking, whilst sitting here watching some French film on tv, about myself and not what makes me tick, but what interests me. The other day whilst talking to Sam in the shops I listed three things as my top interests: Tea, Die (Dice, in plural) and Hats. Rather peculiar really, and not everything that makes me who I am. So I got to thinking. My Top Ten?
- Tea
- Hats
- Dice
- Photography
- Words
- Water
- Nature
- Beauty
- Sunrise
- Cooking
Of course, as with any list, it fluctuates over time. Even on a day to day basis, given my moods. But there you go. Top 10. For right now anyway, lol.
