Currently I’m lying in bed, Sam’s curled up next to me gently snoring his sweet little head off. I hadn’t realised until now (probably because I’m sitting half-upright so I can see him properly) but he does curl up in his sleep. And takes up a lot more of the bed room than he realises. Which is funny because he’s always complaining that I take up too much room and there isn’t enough for him. Possibly he should investigate further before making such accusations. Doncha think? He looks so peaceful, so vulnerable… makes me want to lean over and kiss him. But that would wake him up, so I can’t.
Hooo, boy! I love my man.
Today was hectic. I went into town with Manda and Mum to do shopping for the wedding, and the imminent arrival of Manda and Greg’s baby. Well, not so imminent but Manda wanted to find nappies and when Manda wants something, y’all had better jump. Got a few things bought for the wedding, at least. Going around to Mum’s tomorrow to put some of it together. See how it all looks. Might do a “dummy run” of the table setting. Take my white plates, seeing as the plates for the wedding will be white and set up a mini version on the coffee table or something.
Also bought some trays/boxes and such-like for the pantry. I’m going to get it organised tomorrow if its the last thing I do. Oh, and a tree. For inside. It looks quite nice, will take a photo when the lighting in the room is right and share it.
Mentioned to Mum today the idea of an afternoon tea for Mother’s Day. Invite her and Dad, Nanna and Pop and the sisters and Greg over for afternoon tea. Would be nice to invite Robyn but I think she might feel a little too awkward. Besides, ten people is plenty! Trying to get Sophie interested in helping me with it, but she doesn’t seem all that keen. So, I’ll be doing it myself I guess. Will look into invites tomorrow, and get them sent out. Then, the menu… although the idea of having the menu on the invite does sound appealing! Looks like I’m getting serious about this tea thing… lookout, or I might try converting people!
